Hilda Walker was an English artist who painted animals and landscapes in the early decades of the 20th century. The back of the canvas board has old, slightly faint, inscriptions giving the dogs pedigree names and naming the breeder as Mrs Beswetherick of Woon Nr St Austell in Cornwall.
